Quiet Ground: A Home for Women to Land, Heal, and Rise
A Shared Vision for Women’s Sanctuary Homes
In a time when so many women are burned out, displaced, or silently suffering, we are creating a simple, scalable model: peaceful homes for women who need to land, regroup, and contribute meaningfully to a shared, dignified life.
These homes—called Quiet Grounds—are not shelters, institutions, or healing centers. They are functional sanctuaries, rooted in ancient rhythms and modern best practices for cooperative living. Each home welcomes both women who have resources and those in need, dissolving the false divide between helper and helped. All women contribute. All women receive.
Core Principles
• Dignity before diagnosis – no fixing, no hierarchy
• Shared responsibility – each woman has a rotating job
• Silence & simplicity – stillness is the default, speech is mindful
• Daily rhythm – communal meals, personal time, quiet evenings
• Regenerative practices – gardens, reuse, and seasonal living
• Consensus-based governance – each house adapts within a shared template
Who This Is For
• Women ready to give—whether through land, finances, or mentorship
• Women ready to receive—those in transition, burnout, or crisis
• Women ready to live differently—together, gently, and wisely
Why Now
We are facing an unprecedented collapse of reliable housing, elder support, and women-centered care. Many brilliant, educated women have nowhere to go. This is not a someday problem—it is now. And we already have what we need: each other.
What We’re Doing First
• Launching the first Quiet Ground Home in Michigan by Fall 2025
• Forming a founding council of resident stewards and resource backers
• Creating a replicable charter for other homes around the world
• Offering short- and long-term stays for women in crisis and in leadership
How You Can Help
• Provide funding for land, renovation, or operating costs
• Offer a vacant home, property, or legal support
• Sponsor a woman’s residency
• Join our founding circle to guide the model with wisdom
This is not a nonprofit and not a business. It’s a living experiment in how women can live well together again—outside of extractive systems, within shared responsibility, and in trust with life.
